English Enclosures site?

Post by brucethorn »

Hey Gabi,

How long have you had the English Enclosures site? Either
I just noticed the banner for the first time or it's taken this long to
register. Either way very impressive. Always thought you would start
selling some as a small business but as usual you were two steps ahead
of me already.
One question if i may. Did the orginal 18 watt combo as in
Ian's example have a 17 or 20" faceplate.Have seen the 20" in Graydon's
CAD drawings on his site but also seen the 17" in his .dxf combo cab CAD
drawing. We would rather stop making the 20" , then we can just order
cut raw plexi material for both the 18 watt and the JTM45's.Maybe Graydon
can also throw some light on it.

Thanks from Canada guys,

Bruce

Hi Bruce...

Oh, my!
No... I don't own that bussiness. I only designed the web site.

Shean D. Phinney owns it. He is a member of this community and also a good friend to me...

Does outstanding work and ships everywhere in the world.

Bruce, you cought me on that one... lol...

I really don't know exactely the length of the original combo faceplate. But as long as you accomodate the 16-1/2 control panel cut-out opening in the combo cab I think you are ok. I made my first set of plexi panels 17" long. This way you have enough plexi that sits underneath the two edges...

Ian might give us the real dimension... (Ian, how many time did we made you to take off those backpanels? )

Hi Gabi, Bruce,

Ha..…, well Gabi that back panel has been off ever since you told me to fix it by poking a chopstick into the “worksâ€

Ian!

That's exactly what was needed...

Poor Ian! We ask this measurement from him, that component value, etc. And he faithfully takes his amp apart screw by screw.

Probably one of the pictures he will end up sending will be one that show's a nice original kit that once was a mighty 18watt Marshal

thanks a lot, Ian! Let me know when you have the tranny shots up...

Woops, sorry there Shean. I guess Gabi really left his mark. Maybe he
should leave your name under the contact section. Well at least he knows
where to forward all that money to that I'm sure will coming in . LOL

Thanks for the measurement Ian. The 20" plate never did make sense
since the business man that Jim is he always made the most of what
was on hand. Now we can precut the plexi material in all one size.Sometime I will find the dimensions for the nameplate and bang off some of those also.

Thanks Again.
