My latest one is just about done - this one's for my wife. If I can figure out how to get better lighting, I hope to do the gallery thing...

Alex

p.s. It sounds rather good. There's a Blue Dog in the cab!

Is that mother of toilet seat pickguard material on the faceplate? It looks great with the blonde tolex.

Thanks, Gabi!!! For a better picture of this cabinet, take a look at the English Enclosures ad that pops up on the top of this web site. :) Very good service from Mr. Sean Phinney, BTW.

I'll try to get some decent pictures in the next couple of days! Oh, and my wife has been loving it - she played for a couple of hours last night. It's amazingly dimensional; almost sounds like it has reverb.

Thanks, Graydon! Yes - that is indeed MOTO pearl. ;) In fact, it's four-ply pickguard material from www.stewmac.com, at about $35 a sheet. It looks a little dull in that snap, but hopefully better pix will show it off properly!

Gabi,

It isn't mother of pearl or else it would have been $35 per square inch instead of $35 per sheet! I figured it was that pickguard material, which is commonly known as "mother of toilet seat." I'm not sure why or where that came from, but I've heard it in a lot of places.
