Hello,

I am building a 36W with the 3 impedance outputs) 4-8-16 ... Now... If I have my 2x12 in the hm... can I plug a talk box (basicaly a speaker) in the 4 or 16 Ohm...

and

Can this damage the OT by switching the talk box on and off?? Basicaly changing the load while the amp is on...?

Another way of pluggin it in is between the head and cab... but that would do the same (change the load)

or... would plugging and unplugging a cabinet from the 16 ohm output hurt the amp if I have a cabinet plugged into the hm??

Not a good idea.

I don't think it'd kill your amp right away, but still, not so cool for it

The customary setup is to either switch between the speaker or the talkbox, or to use two amplifiers with an AB(Y). I built an 18watt lite IIb that is doing duty for a talkbox famously.

I have a Heil Talkbox and it goes between the head and speaker cab. When you hit the stompswitch it sends the signal to the talkbox speaker and back when you hit it again.

I like the sound of the guitar amp to continu during talk box use. So I guess a 2nd amp is in the future... or a banshe...

My buddy has a banshee and it does the job just fine. If you're doing recording, a real box is probably better. But Joe Drunkle at the bar will never know the difference in the middle of your Frampton set.

The trick to the banshee is balancing the microphone he sings out of to be balanced volume-wise between the banshee and his vocals. I was usually able to swing around and give him a little tweak when he kicked into his solos, but it is something to be aware of.

It is, of course, a very limited-use toy. A one-trick pony, as it were, with a reallllly cool trick.
