Show me some love on these guys.....not a bad deal I think. They arent the Bugle boys.....but hey....made in Germany with the globes, should be real close to the same tube from what ive read.....cant wait to plug em in....ill let you know how they sound...STEVE

Yeah I got a little silly on those too...I just hope this guy's legit.
He keeps relisting the same auction, and the price keeps going up.

Yeah...........I looked and saw that he had the same auction up for buy it now of $125.00 all the sudden? I was just hoping he had a stash of these, and he figured the first ones went quick, so he decided to jack em up a bit...we'll see. I paid right away, but havent gotten any contact from him yet....ill keep you posted....STEVE

Those are RFT 12AX7's not Holland Amperex. There great tubes but there not Philips by any means. Don't get caught in that bidding frenzy.

I knew they werent the Holland Amperex, but at $75.00 I didnt think I had too much to loose. I mean people are asking $21.00 a piece for the new GT Mullard clone????? Go figure. Im no tube guru by a long shot so maybe im way off here, but I know there is a lot of people who try to misrepresent their products on e-bay.....been down that road...STEVE

The RFT's are nice tubes. Quite, warm and crunchy with a great distortion tone. Not quite as much top end sparkle as some but I like that in a marshall or especially a matchless style amp.

Brownnote...I got my tubes today, so all is good, and they seem to be as described. I just threw them in, and im still experimenting. They are very smooth, and seem strong in the mids, little less bass then my prior set I had in there. Let me know what you think, when you get yours....STEVE

Interesting, All the Amperex's I own make my amps REALLY REALLY Bright to the point of breaking glass. Especially My Buggle Boys.
I love them In my Fender Amps when I am In a Twang Mood, But they are by no means a #1 choice in my 18watter.

I did not like Bugle boys in my amp that much. The shield logo Mullard kills them

Now the front end of my stereo 18Watt HiFi amp was a different story.

I totally agree, The Amperex BB's clearly bring life to the ole HiFi, They seem to add defination that Muillards lack.
Closest to the Mullards in my 18W guitar amp is old RCA Black Long Plates. I got lucky about a year ago and bought a huge hoard of tubes, Had around 250 various brands of 12AX7's including a couple dozen Tele's. still in sealed boxes. Gave me a chance to give them a really good side by side.

I think im gonna just keep buying different things to try out, and see what sounds best. I mean, theres no other way to do it ,when it comes down to it....ive got a good start at it, but I need more......these tube guys love me...!
