2x18watt transformers in a 36watt

If you parallel the ins and outs you get the same pimary:secondary ratio with twice the power handling.

There are also several options for connecting them but essentially the thing to keep in mind is that you need to use a speaker system that will reflect the proper impedence to the power tubes.

If you are paralleling the OTs then you need to use a speaker at half the secondary impedence (4ohm into the 8ohm)

You can connect each OT to its own pair of tubes and to its own speaker this actually accomplishes the same thing as the 4ohm into the 8ohm tap. In other words each OT would have an 8ohm speaker into an 8ohm tap reflecting the proper impedence to each pair of tubes.

I did my first 36W head that way and it sounded great. My 36W OT sounds just the same though.
