It will be Richie's layout of 5-4-2006, Nik's hardware, board allterd as Rich's layout. Without choke(sorrie Blaren)LoL

Hey

Might want to check the wiring on the octal rectifier socket, if your using a GZ34, I beleive the B+ is supposed to come off pin 8 not pin2.

Blind soldering......................, I even wrote the numbers onto the chassis.
First looked for the numbers under the GZ34 tube and clearly still a (BIG) misstake.

I'm about to place the board and still didn't recon the fold

Take care of it, soon there are some update pics!!

Long time build:)

But started up today.

No prob's and silent as a mouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No ssssssssssh or other noise!!

Got far more headroom as the 18-er.

But 1 thing i get rid of is the p-p pot, it bypasses the whole toneage and setlles a standard tone.

One thing, it's not that a beast i aspected, the 18 growels allready at Vol5 MV on 5, this one starts at 8.

LOL: got even close to a AC30:)
Tomorrow a voltage check and proper bias check(got a feeling that it's running a bit cold), see how much V's and mA flows trough it's vians.
Than some finetuning + scope the whole signallpath.

Fitted in a Small Top box and a bluesebreaker extention cab 2x12"open.
Speakers? Nope, no celestion but Jensens P12N's.
Reason? Will send some soundclips later on:)
Tube compl.:JJ's EL84's Sovtec GZ34 and Svetlana 12AX7's(till now)

Don't get me wrong Plexi,

it's a wonderfull amp allready, and i'm prepearing for a totall check.

Brought it slowly op with a variac last night, started with 40V Ac (230V over here, Niks PT) and ended 5 hours later at the 230's.

So the Electrolitics should be polerized nicely......

Today/ tomorrow A and V-check.
Then scope and trigger some stages of the amp, Input Vs Output, clippingpoint, event.cutoff point.

Got a feeling Ã'm far off the good to go sound, so it will be even better as it now allready is.
