I know I've seen that picture before somewhere... Damnit.tubetwang wrote:you freaks love trivia, i see?
who on me left on this early 70's pic?
Sell all your pedals, plug in straight into a low powered tuber and move your ass to Hamburg edgy 1961 Beatle's rock and roll!
I tried plugging into a potato, but all I got was starch and cellulose on my plug.

I'm sure that after you two got done playing your acoustics, you both got the guitars behind this amp and plugged into it.tubetwang wrote:you freaks love trivia, i see?

Somehow I have the feeling that no matter how the dials are set on whatever pedal that is, the sound is gonna be just this side of a bowl of bad stew.
By the way, this thread has been very interesting. Not sure I believe all the dialogue about the Eagles, but interesting nonetheless.
Trivia question:
Which Steely Dan song mentions the Eagles?

KC,
You really think the Eagles guitar work sounds as good now as when they had Felder? By all means, they are all good musicians, but Felder WAS the guitar tone of most their tunes. Joe is a good player, but often sloppy, which is part of his style (which I love by the way). Glen, give me a break! He should stick to singing. Whoever it is who is filling in for Felder is a decent player, but he is no Felder. Don Felder is to the Eagles as Stephen Stills is to CSN. Remove the guitar wizard and you don't have much left.

Previously, I was only commenting on how I was a bit skeptical about all the talk about the legal issues between them, but they could very well be true also. Just very interesting. I find it almost unbelievable that someone that's that closely tied to the case could let out so much info. But I'm not a legal expert, so what do I know?dartanion wrote:KC,

I haven't heard the Eagles new lineup, but I agree, Felder had too many tone-arrows in his quiver to be replaced. What a horrible mistake. The more I think about Felder, the more I have to think that he's one of the most underrated guitarists, or unknown guitarists to ever be in a famous band. Kind of like Elliott Easton of the Cars.

Interestingly, the guitarists I just mentioned above are Jewish.
Let me name several more who are great guitarists:
Paul Stanley
Ace Frehley
Gene Simmons
Marc Bolan (T. Rex)
Randy California
Folks, I mean absolutely no disrespect by posting this. I once saw a book about famous Jewish musicians that was riveting. I think all races and cultures should be celebrated and talked about......of course in a respectful manner.
Here's a link to that book:

Because she isn't. I watched a program about her once, and as I remember she was a mix between French, Syrian, Irish and Argentinan - or something close along those lines. Whatever the exact details, there's some Arab blood in there, but no Jewish. And BTW I generally tend to be pro-Jewish in my outlook, so this isn't any racist thing on my part here.KingCrimson wrote:Paula Abdul? Never would have guessed that.
