Gds mini for home builders

Post by myamp »

Will Graydon's mini amp be avaible for home builders? I like the idea of no tremelo and just one channel.

I have made it to the new portal with a name change. I am just getting used to this place. Good job on the construction.

Guys,

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I had not planned to sell it as a kit. To tell you the truth, I have a huge
box of chassis in my garage that has been there since last October. My plan all along has been to sell a complete amp.

However, it seems like a lot of people do not like the appearance of my
mini-amp, so I am going to go back to the drawing board while I try to get
rid of these chassis. If they don't sell as complete amps, then I may sell
the chassis for DIYers or as a complete kit for entry level builders. If you turn the chassis around, it is a cool chassis for a small head.

I have a new rear panel (and speaker baffle too) that is laser cut from 1/4"
plywood like a tweed Fedner speaker baffle and that looks much better than
the masonite panels on the first prototype. I'll try to post some photos as
soon as I can.

I think that next week, I'll begin taking orders on the complete amp. The
introductory price will be $999 for a complete 1-10 combo (plus shipping)
And herein is the "spam"... I'll also subtract 10% from that amount for the
first 10 orders here. Honestly, I expect most of you guys to build your own
little amps, but if one of your friends wants one, you can pass that deal
on.

Contact me off list if you are interested.
