Just a freindly hint - never call a Scotsman an English guy! It can result in sudden death.sgtoverdrive wrote:...the english guys seem to know this about the yankee el 84s even more then most americans.
As long as they break up nice and early and don't have too much of that nasty headroom stuff.sgtoverdrive wrote:...when in doubt try a ge or rca they are a multi purpose tube that works better in a wider array of circuits then just about anything.

Is it still OK to refer to the Scots as British? With having re-opened their own Parliament a few years back I'm not sure what the current PC statement would be. (no joking intended...)zaphod_phil wrote:Just a freindly hint - never call a Scotsman an English guy! It can result in sudden death.
When I was a kid, we knew an old Scottish fellow who told my folks, "I am not 'Scotch;' Scotch comes in a bottle. I am Scottish, a Scot, or a Scotsman."

...very true!
That's a great video there, although I think I understood less than half of what they were saying!
This guy is a total hero of mine, although again I only get about half of anything he says. I really admire his lifestyle and general philosophy of life.
