Meazzi ultrasonic special
I've got one of these,
Anyone has some more information about them ?
A schematic would be great ...
it looks like this:
http://www.meazzi.com/OTHERS/ulTRASONIC ... onic15.htm
It makes sound, but I think I need to change some of the pots.

I replaced the volumepot from the normal channel.
The readings on the original were:
NEOHM
Made in
ITALY
and on the side
0 5 Mohm C5 512
Would that be 5M or rather 500k ??
I also tried to trace the circuit, (my first time in doing this),
I'll post it later on when cleaned up (it's a mess!).
Information on this amp is very rare on the internet.

I'd guess 500k, but it's probably safest to measure the pot with a dmm. Even if the pot's crackly, you should be able to get a guide figure to work from.
Had a look at the piccys you linked too. Impressive. Should be a fun amp to play with when you get it up and running.

Since a 5M pot is hard to find for me,
I tried a 500klog.
It works fine.
It's
ez81
2x 12ax7
2x el84
It sounds very nice. Good bass for a 2x8"
The things I'm looking to do is,
quieten it down, which the new pot did for a good amount.
Most of the crackle and volume fading away is gone.
What I still don't fully understand is the controls for the vibrato and the echo. I think the echo is a slide on - extension that is missing.
The switch/pot breaks contact for an extra winding on the PT that goes to a series of brass pins. They're visible on the last pic.
On the first pic you can see a small jack connection for, I think, a vibrato footswitch ?
I'll post the tracing later, maybe someone sees how it works.
