check the old eyelet board the filter caps are mounted on---make sure it's in good shape above and below----did you check the 2 220k resistors across the first stage dual filters? maybe one or both is bad and slightly bleeding voltage.
dissconecting the pi cap won't disengage the trem in terms of bad caps/circuit causing a voltage drain---you have to disconnect it from the power section. rh
