I think its cool that s2 is doing this! and I can't afford them rite now, even at the 25 price break. The good news is s2 gets this break forever and ever now even on single piece orders - the bad news is the saving's not likely to be passed on after this 1st order, when I get some moolah! any chance I can rain check just one 18 radiospare? I'll spam me plexipalace pals for ya wares mon!

If so...I owe you 11.00 If not, I owe you 19.00.
Let me know and thanks

BH
Not sure. I'll have to see when they get here. Normally, you don't want to skimp on packing and shipping for trannies. Since they are heavy and pointed, they tend to tear each other up in transit unless they are very well packed.

OK, the MM group buy is closed and the order is being placed right now. I'll post back when I have a delivery estimate.

Sooooo.

Does everyone who placed an order now become eligable for the discount (>25Pc. ) for life? Or just you? Or are you going to offer this to everyone now. ???

http://www.mercurymagnetics.com/pages/order-web.htm

Notice the discount fter a 25 Pc. Whose name is on this order.

Just a bit informative.

Post by floridajack »

spank,

the guy was going to order 25 parts anyway, and offered his community a deal. i don't care what his long term bennies are - i would never buy enough mm iron to ever qualify for any level of discount without this deal.

thanks, s2!!!!!

Please read the rest of the thread. This has already been addressed a couple of times on previous pages.

I was going to buy 25 little SE OTs at $30 each for a total cost of $750. I have no need for 25 little OTs, but $750 isn't too much to swallow and I could always just use a couple and blow the rest out on my web site. I need the savings for 20, 50, 100, and 200W iron where it really matters.

Then I decided it would be better to let community members have a 1 time shot at getting iron at the 25 unit price instead. Most people seem to be in favor of this approach, but I have received a few nastygrams over it.

Yes, this is a little self-serving, but it is beneficial to everyone who participates, and I have never tried to hide my motives. And don't forget I am eating all the shipping from MM to me and all the PayPal fees for these guys.

S2 -

Is it possible that you're going to offer this deal in the future, too? I've toyed with getting some MM iron, but it's so price prohibitive currently that it's not going into an amp that I'm building for myself.

Damn, I go out of town for a week, and missed a great opportunity. That figures. 8O I love the MM stuff. I swear they made my 18 watter sound better. Or maybe that is what my brain has told me in reaction to my lighter wallet.

s2,

FYI - I know I committed early on this but didn't send you payment... I'm waiting to hear back from Paul as to what iron he had for a 70's Ampeg B25 as he didn't have anything listed on the site. Guess I missed the boat. Oh well. I'm glad you had enough interest to make it happen regardless.

Anyway, thanks for doing this for the community!

No, anyone who contacted me before the order was placed is grandfathered in. Just shoot me the part numbers and payment when you are ready and I'll tack it on to this order if it isn't too late or I'll special order it for you after the fact.

No worries :)
