Question about chassis anodizing

Post by unchained »

During the process of anodizing aluminum, the chassis should become non conductive. Am I correct in assuming that this would be a bad thing as far as grounding goes? You would want the chassis to be conducive for a proper ground, correct?

Correct. Although grinding the anodising away from the ground points on the inside of the chassis is an option. A Dremel and plenty of starwashers helps.

Use NoAlOx when connecting things to an aluminum chassis. Should be SOP.
