List of my Valve Special mods to date.

This is a first post for me here. All of my mods came from this forum so I thought I should go through the list. The amp sounds great so I'm staying with these for awhile. I changed the transformer first and the difference from that alone was remarkable. Lots more bass and dynamics.

Transformer 125DSE
150uf cap parallel to C28 (what a difference that made!)
R17 jumped.
Direct connection from preamp to power amp, VR6 to R10
C1 and C9 1uf
C12 1000uf 25V
R12 and R13 100k
R8 820 ohms
R26 1K

I removed the effect board and pulled the fuses from the 12 volt supply.
The large cap is attached to the board since there's a lot of empty space. Power amp is connected with shielded cable, grounded at VR6.
The speaker and tubes are stock for now.
I use single coil and keep them low. The gain seems perfect for this setup.

Totally different amp. I'm very pleased with the results.
