0.033uf instead of 0.022uf BIG difference???

I have some 0.033uf NOS mustards... would using them in my 36W make it boomy or not sound as good?

I used some myself with great results, but since yours are NOS they could drift all over the place. Ypu may want to check your stock first.
Ypu will change the bass response of your amp, but then it is all abput personal taste. Give it a try, nothing is written in stone

You will see quite a few posts about TMBs (whether 18W or 36W) being too bass-heavy, even with 0.022uF coupling caps, and changing them to 0.01uF has often helped cure the problem. So I suspect you may find the 0.033uFs are also too bassy, but if that does turn out to be the case, you can always use pairs of these caps in series instead. Reducing the sizes of the cathode bypass caps in the preamp also helps cure too much bass.
