Los Angeles amp show, Oct 6th
I went to this last year and I was like a kid in a candy shop. If you're anywhere in the area be sure to go. More boutique and custom amps than you can shake a stick at. Believe me, you won't regret going.

Several of the 18watt members were their too. Once it gets closer we should setup a get together time and say hello!

I went last year. I got to crank a couple of different amps back and forth between cabinets with Celestion Blue and Celestion Gold speakers, I heard (and played through) Scumback and Voxer and London 65 amps, I saw and heard the Mercury Magnetics revision of the Valve Junior (spectacular, though I know you guys can do as well or better), met or listened to lectures from a bunch of major amp dudes. I'm going again.

I'll have a demo room there again with WCR Pickups and V-Picks...with the usual hot dogs & beer....plus a drawing for a set of pickups and another for a set of speakers.

Just to let you know, the regular demo rooms are $850 each. A suite with two rooms is $1600. That's for the day, mind you. You get the demo room on Friday to load in, sleep in on Fri & Sat, demonstrate on Saturday only.Easto wrote:We should plan ahead for next year. How about a 18watt.com room? Not just any room but something BIG. A few amps, guitars etc. I realize each manufacturer might want there own room but.... Show the world what 18watt is.
For what it's worth I'd be willing to throw in $25.
Just a thought.
By noon Sunday you have to be packed up, checked out and gone.
You can contact Loni Spector (www.ampshow.com) about a big room rate, but my guess is you'd have to get quite a few people involved to make it reasonable.
Just thought I'd let you know what the costs were.
