www.guitarplayerzen.com has me up as the featured artist of the week. What this amounts to is that I wrote a (non-technical) article for them, about building one's own gear, and mention 18watt.com and some of its members in the article:

That is awesome, I love hearing stories about how people got into building amps, and (more importantly) 18 watters... I'm also very curious how old everyone around here is, sometimes!

If you realy liked your neigbours you would have looked into moding that 18 watter with a headphone circuit. Something I may need to do to keep a wife.

I didn't like the neighbors that much, they were kind of rude. (Why do guitar players always have such rude neighbors...?)

Getting an attenuator and moving into a detached house has solved (relatively) my noise problems.
