"throaty" tone
I'm thinking about buying one of Nik Ceria(tone) 36w or a JTM45 replica..
I typically paly Tele's or a DeArmond with (Fitertron pup's), so I know its
a bright guitar/amp pairing. But , is ther a mod/ or
a simple .cap value change to make the Bright channel sound more
"throaty" and less "fizzy", when overdriven, on these type of amps.

If you don't mind replacing a pot on your tele with a push-pull and a single cap, you can modify the sound of the guitar, lowering the resonant peak to make it sound less bright (actually, with P90, 2.2 to 3.3 nf position sounds almost like a fat Humbucker).

Or in a pedal (intended to be used after a buffer or another pedal for best result, but with the switch in SC position and the guitar straight in it, you get a pretty HBish sound):

You can mod just about any amp to have less or more highs or lows. It's usually a few inexpensive and simple parts to replace. It won't totally change the basic character of the amp, but you can alter it.
In other words, I don't see why you couldn't. Another popular approach with a tele is to use a clean boost pedal to goose the front end of the amp.
