New homebrew amp magazine needs writers
Hello all,
I'm launching a quarterly small-run, full-color homebrew amp making magazine, and I need writers for the following sections:
News - Stories about what's happening in ampmaking in general, trends in amps, cool sites, new products, who's playing what, etc. Stories will run 150-500 words.
Tech column- The nuts and bolts of amp making. This will be a column that runs every issue, and I'm looking for the same person to write it each issue. This column writer should have AT LEAST five years of experience building his or her own amps (although writers for other sections of the mag don't need that much experience) and should preferably be a working amp tech. Each article should be illustrated with photos and should run around 350-1000 words
Build Tips-This section is dedicated to the "inside tips and tricks" that builders want to share with their contemporaries.
Features- This is a pretty open category. It could be a profile on a famous amp maker (with a "how you got started" and "tips for homebrewers" slant) or a story on industry activity, etc. I'm open to pitches of all kinds. 800-2000 words
You don't have to be a professional writer to send in stories. I'm an editor, so I can clean up pretty much anything. This is a labor of love, so I have to pay in contributor issues, with the exception of the possibility of ad swaps for writers who also run small businesses. As the thing grows, I'll try to cut some real checks, but for now you'd be working for the joy of seeing your stuff in print.
Contact me at the_lurking_one AT hotmail DOT com if you're interested.
Thanks all!

Sound's like fun. Is this going to be a web mag, or real print?
A "D.I.Y. of the month", showing a couple pic's of the builder'amp and a bio might be a neat idea.
I was tempted to make a link of your Email address, then realised you might have not done so to keep the address from being a collector of spam once it get's out of our circle, good thinking.
Break a leg!
