LOPO speaker cabinets

Post by paulschnettler »

Anyone have experience or endorsements for LOPO brand speaker cabs?
There's a knockdown kit offered on ebay that's kindof interesting and not too expensive for a kit option. Kit appears complete and the only thing that makes me wonder is the cab size?
Any info would be appreciated!

I got one a few years ago, it's a nice solid cabinet. I like the size of it too, it's a little deeper than my other cabs, it sounds huge with a blue dog and my 36er. Actually any amp I have run through it sounds great.
Came with a switchcraft jack and wire too.

I have a vertical 212. sounds good and looks good. I had to tighten the grill cloth up a little when it got here and the jack plate is a little crooked on the back. But, great value.

Thanks for the reply's.
I think I'll pull the trigger on one of these for the pair of hella's I've got.
My current cab is a 1x12 of an old Utah alnico from a 1958 Wurlitzer organ.
While it sounds really nice, I'm lusting for a bit more.

They are (or at least were last year) about as good a source for tolexing materials as you could find. They were the only source for good, light blue vinyl at that time. Sure would like to find some Baby Blue... :hmm:

Those DIY cabinet kits are sounding pretty good Setting up the dado for finger-jointing (to say nothing of a dovetail jig) is getting to be tedious. Tolexing is much more fun and exciting! :sarcasm:
