Duel triode wired like a single triode?

Post by chrisbdstrat »

hey guys I was wondering I noticed that the Matchless chiefton preamp section is using two duel triodes hard wired to themselves. It looks like a funny looking single triode. So what is this type of thing called? and what is the overall difference tonewise wiring a Duel triode up so it is something like a single triode? the Matchless chiefton is wired like this so what different advantages does somthing like that have for a preamp?
thanks alot guys!
