Zener diodes wattage
Hi all!
If I want to reduce my B+ using a Zener diode on the ground tap of PT, what wattage should be the diode? Is 20 watt enough for a 30V drop?
Thank you.
Bye

Hi, I read this in another thread, is it true?Connect that zener between the HT center tap and ground, reverse-biased. The power disspation rating should be at least 150ma x the zener voltage.
My PT erogates 150mA @ 300V, and I want a voltage drop of 30V. It makes 0.15A * 30V, is it correct? It makes 4,5W. I found a 20W 30V zener diode, do you think it is enough?
Thank you.
Bye!
