$Mega amp on Ebay

Post by Graydon »

Guys,

This is the amp that uses the Angela gold tube sockets that we use on our 18W amps.

OK Glenn, start talking. What is that. It looks like a stereo audio amp using EL84s on each side.

20wpc?
UL?
What trannys did you use?

Looks nice anyway! :)

This is a el-84 stereo project that will be part of my computer sound system. Here is the schem.

I`ll use a diode string rectifier with about 350 b+ volts. It has no tone controls but should sound ok as is. Probably about 10 usable whats max since clipping is bad in audio. Plus it uses a 390 ohm cathode resistor to keep the tubes cold. I may experiment with other values though.

The PT is from Handwound Transformers and the OT`s are from an old Layfayette integrated amp.

I started this project to use up some spare parts. It should be enjoyable when finished.
