6G3 build
Ok, I started building it. I bit the bullet and I'm not doing reverb on board. Next I'm building a stand alone reverb for that. I wanted one anyway...
The normal channel is a plexi like preamp, inspired on the Cutthroat Audio Down Brownie.
Power supply nearly finished. Heaters wired...

I'm ashamed to admit .. but Yes. !JMPGuitars wrote: βWed 09/15/21 4:47 pmAre you publicly admitting to reading a mojo schematic?! Hahahahahahahaha
It was the only clear schematic I could find. The f#nder ones are blurry ...the mojo one looked ok. It's not uncommon that electrolytics have their negative side connected to ground LOL

So how did this turn out? Iβm contemplating doing the same 6g3 thing with my new 18 watt Soursound transformer set with a choke and running the el84s.Bieworm wrote: βWed 09/15/21 9:49 pmI'm ashamed to admit .. but Yes. !JMPGuitars wrote: βWed 09/15/21 4:47 pmAre you publicly admitting to reading a mojo schematic?! Re: 6G3 build
Really great amp. But I build these on a 35 watt platform nowadays. I find the 20W really too low in volume. You really need to run these on full volume in a band situation, and then they lack dynamics. The 35W donβt have that problemJason Patrick wrote: βSat 09/23/23 10:43 amSo how did this turn out?
