Hello . I am doing some changes in my Marshall 18 .
Can anyone tell what wille be the difference if I change te V1 Ecc83 for an ecc82.

You will lower the gain of you 1st preamp stage. The 12au7/ ECC82 sounds like poo in that position. If you want lower gain and still sound good, you'd better replace the 12AX7/ ECC83 with a 12AY7.
I use 12au7 as power tube in low wattage amps...

Agreed about the poo! :lol: You need to keep in mind that these different 12A*7 tubes not only have different gain values, but also bias differently. So you can't just casually swap them with each other. I did once try 12AT7s in one of my amp builds, and the overdrive harmonics had a muddy vibe :? If you want to try lower gain without ruining the sound of your amp, a 5751 is much more compatible to a 12AX7.
