Tube sockets; shock mount or no?
When mounting tube sockets, what’s the consensus on shock mounting? That is, using a rubber grommet or washer along with normal mounting hardware?

Re: Tube sockets; shock mount or no?
There are tubes, like pentodes (ef86 as an example) that are more prone to be microphonic, so, there, it will be good practice to use shock absorber sockets
There are many way to achieve the anti vibration function
However if you can find anti shock sockets your life will be simpler

Here the antivibration sockets (it was impossible to load it on the previous message)
7 pin 8 pin However 8 pin anti vibration sockets are rare and if you need one it will be easier to you to build it by yourself
9 pin (The more I find around are by Geloso) K
