Brown note 18 watt lite IIb - v4 overheating

Post by constantineaudio »

Hi all , I just finished the amp everything seems fine except the V4 Tube, I tried different tubes which brand new ones too, but overheating continues , I couldnt find the reason of this, do you have any advice. (Btw I am using diode rectifier two of 1N4007’s)

Thank you .

Could you post the voltages of this amp and some detailed pictures, i.e. the power supply and power amp?

As Bieworm said, we need to see your voltages.

Also, SS rectifier is typically done with 4 diodes, see here for example: files/JMPGuitars_18_Watt_Tremolo_TMB_Schematic.pdf

I prefer UF4007 to 1N4007.

Thanks,
Josh
