Hammond organ chassis donor build

Post by fenderfan8 »

Looking for advice on any builds for an 18w amp. Possibly marwatt style from a hammond l-112 chassis (ao-43). I'm a newer builder and admittedly not the best when it comes to converting a schematic to a physical layout for connections. Do any of you have any documentation on a similar build (layouts, gut shots, etc.)? Thank you

Hi

Take a look of the available docs in the downloads area:

OTOH, it takes a lot of skill to convert existing amps into another amp. You’re usually limited when it comes to layout compared to a completely blank chassis. Physical dimensions, punch puts,…this existing chassis can be challenging woth lead dress, which is a crucial property of an amp build

I built an 18W Lite IIB using the AO43 chassis. It wasn’t super easy at the time with my limited experience of having built a couple of kits but it was definitely doable.

It’s not a Marwatt but if you are interested, I’ll post the conversion layout I used with the BOM. It’s a killer amp!
