Planning out an 18W SuperLite TMB build
Does anyone have any recommendations for a chassis to start with or should I start with a blank?

What's your cabinet plan? Mojotone's kits suck, but their cabinets and basic 18W chassis are good.
Alternatively, I have a nicer chassis that I had custom made, and I can make custom faceplates for it, but it's not cheap. It's $200 with the custom plates, or $150 if you want to make/supply your own plates. My chassis requires a 1" cabinet depth, which mojotone can also make cabinets for.

I want only one input and no stacked holes. A plate would cover stacked holes, but everything would be off centered. Am I wrong?
Do you have a picture of yours?
$200 isn't horrible.
If I wanted to save money I'd just buy a JTM20 studio and be done with it.
This Modulus kit might work well. I'd only have to drill two holes and have a faceplate made. Under $600 total with cab, no tubes.

If I make a plate for something that's off center, I use the space for something fun like a cool graphic.

I was thinking the same thing about the space.JMPGuitars wrote: ↑Sun 10/13/24 10:41 pmIf I make a plate for something that's off center, I use the space for something fun like a cool graphic.

You helped me build my TMB MV about 5 years ago. I think I'm just going to turn that into a Superlite. I'll only need a new faceplate. I wanted to redo it anyhow and I really only play it dimed out anyhow.
I'm getting close to finishing a SLO 100 build, just got my transformers (finally)

Lots of people on etsy make all kinds of cool custom badges.
Just don't know if I should stick with the same theme or wait until inspiration strikes.
For historical reasons I guess this marshall badge style is ok, but I think I can do better.

I assume based on your email's domain that you should absolutely be able to do better.
