OEI OT in a 36 watter

Post by WRH18watt »

Has anyone explored using OEI's AC30 OT in a 36 watter? I know the laydown style might be a problem for a typical chassis. Just thought I would ask!

Thanks,
Warren

Nope haven't tried one yet..should work fine though, and Joe makes great stuff.. I just like the standup type for this amp,and also the PT i use is a standup type. So it gives more room under the chassis, and nothing in the way. The OT Heyboer makes,is pretty much built in the same way as the 18..except its a 35 watt OT.
I used the Heyboer AC-30 for the RichAmp. But i'm sure many would work fine for this amp,and may just depend on the chassis you use,or the mounting you want or need.

Are there any overall dimensions of the 36W transformers available. What amount of clearance is required to comfortably slide this into a head cabinet.

Thanks,
