Tube Socket Source

Post by blade-rh4 »

Hi,

I am in the process of converting a Vox AC-15 reissue to use a tagboard instead of a PCB, (hopefully!) with chassis mounted sockets. Does anyone here (maybe people who have converted similar Marshalls given these Voxes were made by Marshall) know of a source (preferably UK or EU, but otherwise anywhere) of 9-pin tube sockets to fit a 1" chassis hole? Or would I be better off just starting with a completely blank chassis made to the same dimensions?

Thanks,

James

most ceramic socket are 7/8". they should work fine. if you really want a larger size, you will need to buy a bunch of different ceramic and teflon types to get a match (never seen a micalex that large).
