Is a 6CA4 the same as (and as a result a drop in replacement for) an ez81?

According to Duncan's site they are close or identical. I don't know if this is enough for you, though

6CA4 is US talk for EZ81, just as ECC83 is europetalk for 12AX7. But 12AX7 is not the same as M8137 - all the same it will fit!
