Wow - nice work :D Is that another half-filled board for 3rd sitting in the background!

This amp making thing is definitely habit forming - I've got one of Nik's boards and Graydon's chassis and OT waiting for me. I plan on making that one a full 18W clone, and making my first WEM conversion a sort of 18WTurbo :)

No schematic yet, just back-of-envelope scribbles and various download print outs. I've already added the triode before the 18W's first stage for Phase II:
triode stage -> Lite II preamp -> Lite II PI -> Lite II power amp

Bit of tweaking to do on that to avoid oscillation at extreme settings. For Phase III I noticed that the two triodes are almost identical to the first two stages of the Fender blackface, and I'm not a great fan of the 18W's clean tone, so I'll try a simple Fender tone stack between those two triodes:
triode stage -> FTS -> Lite II preamp -> Lite II PI -> Lite II power amp

I'll keep it all switchable. And if I still have the energy :) I'll think about what to do with the other completely unused valve (there's no Tremolo channel on mine).

Hey Gatlin those cabinets look great, who built them for you? You can't even see the 2mm gap behind the back panel (he he he). Nice amp porn too, hope my "turbo" 18 Watt you are gonna build for me turns out like those! Man, I can tell what they sound like just by looking at the pics "jung jung jung... raaang... jung jung" Sweet axe too, bet you feel like Clapton or Page strapping that baby on!

Great pics! The only thing i see that is a little scarry..the resistor on the cap can, might be the pic or angle, but the lead looks close to the mounting bolt. Maybe move it some.. And the cathode bypass cap at the end of the board for the EL84s..keep it away from the resistor just a bit. The resistor puts off some pretty good heat..and a little space will help from the cover on the cap melting, and also keep the cap from heating up.. Not trying to be critical, just wanting to point those out.

But those are just picky things.. your amp, guitars and all look very good!
