Hi, a bit of a newb here and I've been reading up on tube specs i.e. how the Cathode, Grid and Plate interact. I'm reading a article regarding plate current characteristics and it states (let me paraphrase) "transition into plate cutoff... causing a decrease in the triode's transconductance".
Please keep the answer somewhat simple.
