Watkins Dominator output
Hello,
New to forum. It has probably been covered, but I am trying to get a reading on the original Elac speakers. What is the output of these amps?
The originals are about done for.
Is it two 8 ohm or two 16 ohm speakers?
Have a nice day.

Hi there.
The three WEM output transformers (OT) that I've seen have all had three solder lugs proving two output taps - 8 and 16ohms, with the speakers soldered directly to two of three three lugs.
So, if your speakers are currently wired to the outer pair of lugs on the WEM's OT, it'll be a 16ohm load - so get two 8ohm speakers and wire them in series.
But if one of the speaker wires currently goes to the central lug, that's the 8ohm load - get two 16ohm speakers and wire them in parallel.
If there are more/less than three lugs on the output side of the OT, er... show us a digicam shot
