They are made by Sylvania. I have some black plate 7189's that are made by Sylvania and they sound pretty good.

BTW - They are known to be sweet and punchy. I just watched a NOS quad of Sylvania BPs go for $160 on eBay.

Funny, I just found a pair in my drawer that look just like them. They're labled Thomas Organ though. Hehe. I wonder if the Hammond labeled Sylvania's will have more mojo. The Thomas Organ sond great.

They are definitely Sylvania, RCA's usually have smooth plates without ridges. You can tell they are made by Sylvania because of the 312 EIA code printed on the tube.

I just checked those Thomas Organ Tubes and they have the 312 cosed as well. I have them in my TRex right now and yes they are loud and punchy, very forward, no complaints. I think someone would be mildly surprised if they looked back there and saw that they weren't El34's after they hear it.
