Just inherited a couple of tv repairman tube caddies + cardboard boxes full of tubes. I've picked them over pretty well for audio tubes. What to do with the rest? The thought of just junking them just doesn't feel right.
Any Ideas?

I'm a packrat so I save everything.
Stuff that looks like unusable junk might turn out to be tomorrow's hot tube, as the "usual suspects" become rare and expensive builders are turning to other tube types. I know for a fact that over the years I've passed up all sorts of useful audio tubes because they weren't what I had in mind just then.
If you have an absolute disdain for clutter sell what's left on FleaBay including the caddies or pass them along to someone who will use them. Come to think of it I have a TON of tubes in various cardboard boxes that would look nice in a couple caddies...

If your interested in tube stereo's, There are a heck of a lot of old TV sweep tubes that make excellent tube's for audio.
If you start doing a google search systematically for each tube number,Sooner or later you should find a site or schematic suitable.
Another resource is http://www.diyaudio.com/
That is a great site and has a lot of DIY tube Stereo guys. Do a few searches over there, or sign up, post a list of the remaining tubes in the tube forum and I am fairly sure you will get some guys offering ideas, They are a good bunch over there.

funny this comes up. I just ran into about 2 thousand 
tubes...all NOS NIB....almost all tv tubes. Found some 12AU7As, 12AT7s, a bunch of 5U4s, ONE 
Sylvania labelled german 7189 actually british with a B datecode...I'll pull it and post the #s tomorrow. WHY couldnt there be 4 of them in thousands of tubes??
Lots of EL tubes but no 34s

Anyway, if anyone needs anything weird let me know. I'll check for those numbers you mentioned.
I've seperated all of them and catalogued them all. I've also looked them all up in completed listings on ebay. Do you know how much work this is?
All covered in 30yr old repairshop dust. Damn! Most go for ~ a buck...a few go for more, some for nothing. I think the most valuable one I've found (with exception of MAYBE the mule el84) is a weird Sylvania worth a bit over 40 bucks.
Why couldnt they be 2000 audio tubes??? Maybe one day will be MY lucky day but time's running out. The guy I got these from was about to finally throw them all out...like in the next couple weeks. He has a few testers and other stuff though that he's gonna give/sell me.
