Fender Musical Instruments Going to the Auction Block

Post by HeeBGB »

In the Financial Times newspaper dated June 9, 2004 there is an article stating that "Fender is understood to have appointed Goldman Sachs to look after the sale of the business, which is expected to be put into a competitive auction." The expected price is said to be $500 million dollars US.

I say we all pool our money and make a bid. We could probably come up with a couple hunderd dollars.

Who's in?!!

Fender president Bill Schultz has denied the rumours and says that Goldman-Sachs was only hired to assess the value of the company.

Where the markets are concerned, there's no smoke without fire... :onfire:
It's not like the company's never changed hands before

Hey!

I'm in!

I got 3.50..how much more do we need?

So, like CBS, we'll mess it up. But before that, lets buy all the 90s and early 2000s Fenders. They'd sure go up crazily in prices...

Hmm...
