designing basics and 36watts
hi all. I have been reading up on how amps work and how to design amps etc and i have found some great sites and had alot of help from people. however i am still strgling. The maths goes right over my head.
COuld some be so kind to give me the BASICS of amp design to get me started with as little maths as possible (I know the basic electronics maths such as ohms law etc)
also, i am in need of a cheap combo amp. Is it possible to build 36watt for less than £400 $800? And could you point me to a TMB scematic which can be switched down to 18w. i couldn't find one in the download section.
thanks very much!

hmmm, i could get [arts from old valve radios but i doubt i will see one with powerful enough trannys.
i was also thinking about making a pocket valve amp using bits i have lying around. i have an onld cd player which will have some spare transformers in it somewhere im sure. Could i use other types of transformers such as the ones found in desk lights and wallwarts? i am assuming they would have the qrong windings and taps but i haven't a clue to be honest.
