Mallory 150's at mouser -- confusion --

Post by TubeOverdrive »

Hi,

I want to buy some caps at mouser, but I'm a bit confused by the part numbers.

If you look at this page, you can see that there seem to be different prices for the same part.

For exemple, the 5th and 6th items (.1 uf 5%) have the exact same manufacturer part#, but with different mouser part# and different prices.

When you compare the 2 products, they even have the same amount in stock, suggesting that it may be the same.

Is that an error from mouser, or am I missing something?

Also, would it be ok to use some Mallory 150's rated at 400V? (I think the originals mustard caps were 400V?)

mouser just screwed up on that one. You'll have to call to get it clarified. As to the 400V vs. 630V, the 630V's are a bit bigger. I can't tell the difference, however, I'll buy a 630V when they're cheaper than the 400V's. That happens.

Could just be as simple as older stock vs. newer stock, with the new price?

Thanks for the replies.

Since my english in not very good (particularly live on the phone, words don't come to mind fast enough), I'll probably just order the cheapest ones and see what happen.
