230v LED keeps blowing, any way to protect it?

Post by tatter75 »

I have tried two different 230v LEDs in my amp build and both have only lasted a few seconds. Either they've both been poor quality/faulty or I'm getting a bit of a surge on the voltage.

Is there anything I can do to protect the LED? This is from UK mains supply btw.

Maybe it’s a polarity issue? The hot wire should be connected to the anode of the LED
