Hi Richie,

Well with that list of Venue’s, I don’t think they’ll have to worry about being short of “Moonshineâ€

Sitting here laughing..you don't have to worry about these guys,I've been with them to some places they have played. I looked some of the places up on web sites.. and they are grand compared to some they have played.
Plus they can play George Jones to Black sabbath.. Its hard to explain, just have to hear them. But they can play. Dave {Chico} is the guitar player... George,is on bass..and Bobby Lee is the drummer. Great bunch of guys too.

Never been to the Ace Cafe, but I don't think it's too far from me. I'll take a look at a map. Er... with such a wide repertoire, what will they actually be playing?

What will they play, i have no idea. Originals to AC-DC bad Company, Zepplin,CCR ,to just about anything. I put a couple links and you can see how crazy they are. They are a party band, makes for an interesting evening. You'll see Chico likes tube amps, and i work on his amps. but i don't think they took anything with them, they are using ampsthey rent over in England.i would suppose knowing Chico, he'll have a Vox or marshall. Usually they fry bologna inbetween the second set...pretty good too. I've seen them have bob-ing for pigs feet in cream corn contests..and someting to do with fried chicken..

But here is a couple links you'll see for yourself, they are well..you'll see.
Thats why i told Ian,if you'd seen the places and things they have done, there isn't much that would scare them.Well except maybe a disco club..LOL
When you visit there page, you'll get a good chuckle. Still a great bunch of guys.. just playing and having fun.

Play the broadband if you have it..sounds much better.

Hi Richie,

OK, well I was out most of yesterday, so I’ve only just gotten around to looking at the Night Train website. And Yep, that’ll do nicely  !!

Both Newcastle and the ACE will be right up their street;- with their “good looksâ€

Sounds good too; and heck, who needs a rhythm guitarist anyway, complete waste of space

Well to explain a little, a youngster, and good friend used to fill that spot.
If you look at there page, they used to have a rythmn player and he also played lead some.. You'll see pics of "Young Jon".. he passed away a couple or so years ago. They have a page dedicated to him. Last place i seen them play when Jon was with them, was when they opened for Thin Lizzy. They just play as a trio now. Jon was only in his 20s..
As they say ,gone but not forgotten.

No problem Ian..

"""Newcastle everyone speaks with a very heavy northern accent (nice accent, but almost incompressible"""

Yes we get the accent here all the time, so they will fit in perfect.
I went up north once, and they all wanted to hear me talk. I guess i sounded as funny to them,as they did to me. Except i was out numbered..lol
Its funny how cultures are,even in the same country,north south or state to state. My wife is from NY..so i get to hear her and her family.. very different lingo than here. plus she never heard of some of our dishes {food}

Ian wrote:pps;- I think Gabi's new layout would look great printed up on T-shirt, seriously. Well, I'd buy one (don't know what that say's about me though??).
Thanks for the idea! We've been making T-Shirts for the kids with their favorite Star Wars characters etc. and recently for my son's band. I think I'll print up on with the new 18 watt layout for myself.

Hi Gtrmac,

Just to be fair about the T-shirt idea;- it was Gabi who first suggested it, I just echoed it, LoL!
