Hi Paul, Loverocker,

Quote:- " I also don't bid on reserve auctions ". Nope, me neither.

But Loverocker, that SRV looks such a bargain, don’t you think? And obviously every word is true 8O .

Hi Phil,

Padded leather & gold amps are the equivalent of fluffy pink dice & a muscular body-kit on your car;- OK if that’s what you like, but good “Tasteâ€

Yeah, I know what you mean. Have you seen the Jaguar and Ferrari limited-edition Fender Strats? Same applies. And personally I would be terrified to ever gig with it, so it's a beautiful amp that's virtually useless...

Hi Phil,

Well some guys may like that Jag, & anyone else’s opinion is at least as valid as mine, of course.

Funnily enough they had a Jag sitting in the Foyer when I went to visit Jim Marshall on 30th June. It was beautifully made, all hand stitched & so forth, but it was just way too fancy for me.

I like my guitars plain & classic too, you know a beat-up old Strat or LP would be just fine. Can’t afford it though, so I have to make do with some old beat-up Jap copies instead, LoL!

Yea, I prefer plain too. No fancy binding on guitars or gold-plated fittings - yuck! Nice plain slab of wood with striong pickups works for me. BTW I have a 'Lawsuit logo-ed" Tokai St**t - all black with twin open HBs and chromed knobs and fittings. It's just the guitar for classic rock and has the most incredible sustain....
