NOS 5AR4/GZ34 versus new productions

Anybody try the new JJ 5AR4/GZ34 yet? I've heard the Sovteks aren't quite right, but before I plunk down big bucks for NOS I wanted to ask if you guys have an opinion on the new JJ's. Thanks.

Out of all of the new production,the JJ are the best..in my opinion. The Sovteks seem ok too,but stay away from the rest. The NOS would be the best, but they are a little expensive. The NOS would probably last a bit longer. The newer production seem to get some rattle or looseness after a while. But yeah the JJ would be my pick for new production.

jj's are great - used one in my spitfire with great results.

I'm using the JJ GZ34 and so far so good. I'm using one in a JTM-45 style output stage (channel switching front end) and using it with 6L6s to EL34s with great results.

I'm going to have to plug EH again here. I had a JJ in my Lightning and it developed the rattles within a few weeks. I put an EH in there and no rattles. I also have some NOS RCA and Ken-Rad 5AR4s which are really nice, but there is no point in using them up with the EH on the market. They also make a very good EZ81.
