shameless self promotion...... First build
Unfortunately I haven't gotten to play through it yet.,, but anyways It turned out great. I'll take some pics.
Super quiet even when upside down pointing at the lights with the volume and tone on ten. I'm sure it will sound great. I have good vibes.
IT's a liteII with heyboers, weber cobber cap, sovtek tubes, and a Komboking chassis(locals rule). Big thanks to PAul Ruby for the advice and the turrant board. Also thx top Mike Huss for drawing the schematic.
I'm working on my brother in law to make me a sweet cab out of som nice wood.
ONe question though......I'm getting higher voltages out of the weber cap than expected. More like 330 than 300. This this a big deal or something that is characteristic of the copper caps?????

Now that's a stage show I've got to see. Oh, you meant the amp...kollantai wrote: Super quiet even when upside down pointing at the lights with the volume and tone on ten.
Re 330V - I think it'd be OK, but I'd also check for dissipation.

I usually play standing on my head.....with my teeth.
OK, I just got finished playing though this thing and I have to say it rules. I can safely say that I'll ever buy a manufactured amp again. It's loud as hell too.
Dissapiation? Like,,??? if I see the same sort of drops proportional to the voltage chart?? Or the tubes are running pretty hot? Fill me in. I'm fairly new to this. Everything seems to be running cool as far as resistors and transformers. What should I look for??
Any help would be greatly appreciated....THX

OK, for the thread with figures and references on voltages and dissipation from my build: http://www.18watt.com/modules.php?name= ... opic&t=500
I'm still new to this, so I always have to relearn the theory bits each build
You'd need one of the smart guys to wade in for crystal clear advice right now.
