18W board is very modular

Post by ampkits »

Hi,

I was making a AX84 P1 board, and was counting holes and what not.

And, hay, with addition of of 2 holes (for bridge rectifier, otherwise no need), you can have a P1 board, perfect!

There'll be extra eyelets unused, but who knows, for some mods?

I like this. Makes life simple, and when life is simple, I am happy :).

Will see what else will fit (with very slight mod) on the 18W board.

I'll get pics up on the board.

Thanks!

Something doesn't make sense. You say you were making an 18W board and discovered it could be used for a P1, with the addition of two extra holes? Or was it the reverse?

Hi Phil,

Yeah it can be used for a P1.

But then my 18W boards come with extra eyelets. I will have pics soon, you'll see what I mean.

I think the size of the board is good for lots of things. I will post whenever I find / do other amps on the board.

Thanks!
