Help pls - Last word on 36 --> 18 switch

I just purchased a 36W TMB from someone used. Its already the 36wTMB5 version so I kind of lucked out there. I REALLY want to put a half power switch on this thing. I've tried to follow the threads on this but man, it ain't easy!

Could someone please summarize what all the prior discussion on this topic converged to, and point to the "latest" schematic? I'd really appreciate it.

I'd also be game to try power scaling in my amp, but I don't think there is a 36w schematic with power scaling around. If someone knows of one I'd be much obliged.

I've had a Blockhead First Born 18 for the longest time - I love it. Its a very magical 18 indeed. But there were some situations where I needed more volume, hence the 36w....but, I'd also love to be able to tame the 36w from time to time, as I will be leaving it in a rehersal room, and wont have my Blockhead there.

I keep kicking around the idea of installing a half power switch in my 36 watt. What I do now is just pull 2 tubes and swap the 5AR4 out for a 5V4 whan I want half power. I guess you could call that a half power switch:-)
