Electro Harmonix EF86 experience?

I saw that EH was making EF86 tubes. Any experience with them? EF86 tubes seem to be pretty expensive compared to other preamp tubes and these aren't wallet-breaking, especially compared with some NOS ones.

They sound nice when you can get a non-microphonic one!!!

I have a whole batch to send back as they are all microphonic.

I was wondering if it might be worth it to get it tested for microphonics at Tube Depot. Could be $4 well spent.

If they warrant their screening, then it's worth it. I buy direct from New Sensor, and it's a crap shoot on the EF86s. Great tone, just not screened from the factory for microphonics.
