have a nice, big chromed chassis from a hi-fi power amp I'd like to use for a guitar amp build.

I'd like to remove the silkscreened graphics that are currently on the chassis, but I can't seem to find a solvent that'll do the trick. I tried goof-off and mineral spirits to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If the graphic is on metal try acetone or lacquer thinner. If it is on plastic or tolex it may damage the surface so test it on a hidden spot first.

Thanks J, it's on metal. I'll give the acetone a shot.

Thanks Jwalker, the acetone worked great. The silkcreen printing came right off with no discoloring.
