ac15 site like the 18w

I think we need a Vox ac15 site like this one. I started looking into building one of these things and found there is almost zero info out there.
1) No one makes a chassis (well one guy, but you have to punch all your own holes).
2) There is no layout (there is a modified lite version in kevin o'connor's TUT III book).
3) No one makes a cab ( Shouldn't be too bad, same size as ac30 [for the twin version] but different space for the chassis).
A shame, really. I think the ac15 and the 18w are the two best sounding amps the earth has ever seen.
We need an ac15 site! WHO's WITH ME?!

At least there is info on the AC15 and a schematic. And they already have reissiues. Which if you do decide to build one, don't use the reissiue crappt transformers. i've replaced a few of those PTs in the AC15 and AC30s
Cabs or copy cabs are built by north coast music and some other places,so you can get cabs. I know they have faceplates for the AC30,don't know about the 15. A friend of mine has many hrs racked up on his, about 4 nights a week,4 hrs a night. I'd have to do some searching for any chassis. Right now,i'm backlogged on building amps, and have to get some caught up before i can think about other amps..lol

Well, thanks for the input.
At least I can hope for the future. I'll wait a few years and poke my head up again about this and see if things have gotten any easier for the schematically challenged. Lol.
Transformers in Australia.

For those who are after transformers for either AC15's or AC30's. I have it on good advice from several souces that Martin Kell in Sydney (Australia) winds a very good transformer.
Yours Sincerely

When you've got the Marshall 18W, who needs any Vox AC15!

I have been looking for details on a top boost add on to a Vox AC30 for ages. I have found the basic bracket dimensions and an article saying how brilliant it is. But, not a schematic only a circuit diagram.
The original Vox AC30 is too dark to gig and already has the ' hole ' for the top boost in the back, covered by the serial number plate.
Has anyone seen diy instructions for adding a top boost ?
There seems to be a dearth of information on Vox amps, because I think basically they are far too complex, half the circuit is trem and reverb etc.
I have searched every Vox post on plexi palace and drawn a blanko.

Hi,
Cool!!
Wow what a coincidence.
I am on expansion mode, and AC30s are slated for August.
I have finally managed to find a naked original AC30 chassis (ie chassis without cab). The owner agreed to loan it to me for inspection. So we will have chassis done to some degree of accuracy.
Unfortunately, I dont think I will do the boards with the "hot tags", turrets instead.
Oh yeah, do you guys think the alum chassis should be made both steel?
Not sure yet if this chassis is top boost or what. Will only pick up from owner next weekend.
Thanks!
Nik
PS - There are lots of AC30s here but no AC15 or AC4.
Several AC100s as well (sold 1 of em to US).

In Aspen Pittman's Tube Amp Book 4.1 edition and later (maybe earlier, but not sure) has the Top Boost schematic pg 649.
